Welcome to Paty’s House
Our family child care program is in a charming turn-of-the-century classic California bungalow that we have lovingly transformed into a safe, wonderful, enchanting space to run our program. You will find we have 10′ tall hedges for the safety and privacy of your children. When you visit, take note of the incredible care to detail in our outdoor spaces, including the inventive and dazzling murals painted on our walls by Paty herself.

Presenting Our Front Yard
We love decorating this space to celebrate the seasons and holidays.
Our outdoor play areas have shade structures. There are orange trees behind the purple worm. This is one of our mini play houses. We arrange our spaces so they meet the developmental stages of the children currently enrolled. Here we were able to set up an outdoor play area using baby gates that was safe, and allowed them to parallel play in the presence of the older children. Front Yard
Spend Time in Our Backyard
This space has a large tent to provide shade and make it comfortable and safe for the children to be outside as much as possible. It’s good for them, and a tactic to reduce COVID transmission.
Sensory play in our sandbox. [Taken Pre-COVID] Pretend Corners Play area for children Tricycles and push cars for gross motor skills. Slide! This is our amazing backyard. This playset affords works well for kids ages 0-5, with several swings, a slide, and even a mini rock-climbing wall. We have a sandbox for sensory play.
Our Classroom
We have transformed our living room into a dynamic space with plenty of places to explore throughout the day, while also maintaining the touches that help children feel at home. There is also an air-conditioner to ensure this space remains comfortable during heat waves or poor air quality days.
We have little nooks for children to discover toys, manipulatives, and books. We teach children about letters, numbers, shapes, and more in Spanish. Collaborative building block effort! Story Time for COVID. Our classroom
Kitchen
This is the heart of Paty’s House. We prepare delicious, organic meals here, serve/share meals, and gather (socially distanced) to work on art projects, puzzles, and play-doh.
We have an eat-in kitchen with seating for kiddos at a picnic table. Safety First! Emergency kit and handwashing reminders. The picnic table is not only for eating, it’s for making art. Our older kids are highly proficient at cracking eggs. Our preschool-age kids are very interested in cooking (we watch VERY closely) Another shared art activity.
